Sand Bay, Applecross - Monotype & Painting
An original monotype, printed on an antique etching press in my small studio in the Scottish Highlands. The image was painted onto a metal plate, transferred onto cotton paper and embellished with acrylic. This is a unique print (1/1). Some of the elements on the print are 3D and have varying sheens, creating lots of interesting detail.
The image was based on memories of Sand Bay in Applecross, one of my favourite beaches.
You can see the emboss around the edges where the metal plate pressed into the cotton-based paper with the pressure of the press.
Mounted and ready to frame. Supplied in a clear cellophane wrap with a branded sticker on the front and details of the process on the reverse.
