Fairy Pools, Isle of Skye 18/25 V.E. Unframed Etching
An original print, created using etching, monotype and embellished with precious 23.5ct deep gold gilding to reflect the light. Hand-inked and printed on an antique etching press in my small studio in the Scottish Highlands. A mini print at just 65mm x 65mm, there are lots of intricate details and tiny marks that were hand drawn onto a metal plate using a fine needle before etching.
This artwork is a part of a varied limited edition - each print has different effects with the monotype and gilding.
The fairy pools on the Isle of Skye are a magical place with flowing waterfalls and crystal clear pools nestled at the foot of the dramatic Black Cuillin Mountains.
Mounted and ready to frame. Supplied in a clear cellophane wrap with a branded sticker on the front and details of the process on the reverse.
