Three Lochs - Monotype & Mixed Media
An original monotype with mixed media. Printed on an antique etching press in my small studio in the Scottish Highlands. The image was painted onto a metal plate, pressed onto cotton paper and embellished with acrylic paint, ink, pen and collage.
This is a unique piece of art (1/1).
The image was based on memories of the three sea lochs near my home - Loch Duich, Long Long and Loch Alsh. The colours, light effects, clouds and water patterns are always shifting.
The piece is titled Three Lochs.
You can see the emboss around the edges where the metal plate pressed into the cotton-based paper with the pressure of the press.
Mounted and ready to frame. Supplied in a clear cellophane wrap with a branded sticker on the front and details of the process on the reverse.
